LoThraxx Interview

I was able to catch up with Little Rock's very own LoThraxx and ask him a few interview questions. Before enjoying the interview check out his "Coke Boy Freestyle" Official Music Video above. Cheaaauhhh

1. At what age did you figure out rapping was your destiny?

LoThraxx: "I was about 18 freshman year of college...nigga just felt like i had sumn to say & pursued it"

2. In previous interviews, I heard you state that you were influenced by Ice Cube. But in my opinion his music was more along the lines of "gangsta rap" and yours seems to fit the category of just some playa ass music to cruise to. Was it his music or more so his "carelessness towards what anyone had to say" personality you would say influenced you?

LoThraxx: "Most definitely i fuck with cube and you're right, it's the lack of giving a fuck honestly. Like Pac as well. They just said what they said which could've been what everybody else was saying but in a more "out of bounds" type way...saying what people were too scared to say."

3. I've heard you mention marijuana in a good amount of your songs. If you had to choose one strain to smoke for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

LoThraxx: "Hahaha it would have to be any sativa honestly, i like the feeling that particular weed gives me on some cool calm collected type shit fareal. Im smoking on some Master Kush as i speak, & tweet."

4. Do you work better in the studio under the influence? Or would you prefer a clear mind & a few bad bitches present?

LoThraxx: "Man honestly that shit doesnt phase me lol, i be in my zone regardless ya know? But it doesn't hurt to be highed up tho and yo i bring a gang of bitches through always hahaha"

5. If you had one chance to get anybody on the track, dead or alive, who would it be?

LoThraxx: "Amy Winehouse, Sam Cooke, The Weekend, Lauryn Hill, & Tupac....Easily"

6. Do you need some type of inspiration for a track/mixtape? Or does the feel come natural & free flowing?

LoThraxx: "I usually just go off whatever type of beat, but i do go into it like "i have to many playa songs i need maybe 1 or 2 club joint" and just try to find a beat that suits my vision and take off from there."

7. Where did the title "The Bold" come from?

LoThraxx: "I was just like fuck it...this shit will be hard why not have aa hard bold name...then i found the intro and it was over...my next tape will be crazier tho no bullshit."

8. Any closing remarks you would like to make? Maybe give us a date for the next project or upcoming performance dates?

LoThraxx: "Fasho, the next tape should be out this summer or late August. And shoutout to trillmuzik fa' fuckin wit tha kid. Saluuute."
